MAIN RESEARCH TOPICS

Social needs and the needs of solitude in the different stages of a lifespan. Processes and contexts of socialization from early childhood to adolescence. Loneliness and capacity to be alone in childhood and adolescence. Emotional autonomy in adolescence. Relations between the hospitalized child and care staff. Reminiscing in parent/child relationship. Inclusiveness in Early Childhood Education and Care. Problematic Internet Use during adolescence.

PUBLICATIONS

Paola Corsano is the author of about one hundred scientific publications in national or international journals.

  • Lezione su "Il diritto alla disconnessione in adolescenza"- International Winter School "Genere, diritti dell'infanzia e delle donne e intersezionalità nel post pandemia"

    Il termine “connessione”, utilizzato oggi tra gli adolescenti in relazione alle nuove tecnologie, costituisce un concetto chiave della psicologia dello sviluppo, riferendosi a un bisogno di base dell’individuo, l’attaccamento, che si declina nel ciclo di vita trovando sempre nuovi oggetti cui ri-volgersi (genitori, coetanei, partner). In adolescenza le relazioni con i coetanei, favorite dalla possibilità di rimanere connessi on line, diventano prioritarie e modello identitario. L’abitudine alla connessione induce tuttavia a trascurare il complementare bisogno psicologico della separazione, fondamentale durante l’adolescenza poiché preparatorio alla conquista dell’autonomia. Riconoscere all’adolescente questo bisogno evolutivo, da parte degli adulti, significa garantirne il “diritto alla disconnessione”, come sottolineato anche dalla Convenzione ONU sui diritti dell’infanzia e dei minori, che sostiene sia il diritto alla “connessione”, alla “disconnessione".

  • GARDENStoLEARN. Il corso online per realizzare e gestire un orto didattico nella tua scuola

    GARDENStoLEARN è un corso gratuito online rivolto ai docenti della scuola dell’infanzia, ai dirigenti scolastici e agli educatori, composto da 3 diversi moduli di lezioni, risorse educative scaricabili ed esercitazioni, sui seguenti temi: informazioni preliminari necessarie prima di realizzare un orto a scuola, tra cui l’idoneità dell’area da adibire a orto, l’indagine di mercato, la raccolta fondi,il networking e la sostenibilità; linee guida tecniche per scegliere, realizzare, gestire e mantenere nel lungo periodo il tipo di orto adeguato – su suolo e fuori suolo; un approfondimento del concetto di inclusione e una raccolta di workshop pratici per l'infanzia. La piattaforma è disponibile in inglese, italiano, spagnolo e bulgaro. La piattaforma è stata realizzata nell'ambito del progetto Europeo Erasmus + KA2 activity Strategic Partnerships no. 2017-1-IT02-KA201-036449, denominato GARDENStoGROW Urban Horticulture for Innovative and Inclusive Early Childhood Education.
