Researcher at the University of Bologna and adjunct professor at the University of Parma for the course in Sociology of Deviance, Ph.D. in Criminology from the Université de Montréal, specializes in research in the field of police studies, policing protest, and recently, institutional child sex abuse and hate crime/hate speech.
Teaches criminology at the "Renzo Canestrari" Department of Psychology at the University of Bologna, as well as sociology of deviance in the Sociology undergraduate program (Forlì campus) at the same university.
During the academic year 2021/2022, was a lecturer in the Interuniversity Master's Program in Critical Criminology at the University of Padova and the University of Bologna, teaching the course "Police, Territory, and Public Order."
Since 2021, has been a member of the UNIBO team for the EU project - European Union’s Rights, Equality, and Citizenship Programme GENHA "Hate speech, gender, social networks, and political parties."
Since 2020, has been a member of the UNIBO team for the EU project – Justice SAFE "Supporting Action to Foster Embedding of child safeguarding policies in Italian faith-led organizations and sports clubs for children." Work Program Part: Research and analysis, design of the child protection policy.
