isotta cortesi, research professor, currently teaches Architecture Composition at Siracuse Architecture Faculty. She is author of various publication mainly regarding the design of public spaces in contemporary practise. Has tought at Architecture School in Genova, Florence and University of Virginia, USA. I.C. is a Fulbright scholar and is a Fellow of the American academy. She is editor of architecture magazine, Area. She has developed numerous proposal for intenational design competitions, winning the first Prize Archès competion for the best built work. Her research mainly concerns contemporary design of public space, investigating theory and practise.
