MAIN RESEARCH INTERESTS

Degenerate and nondegenerate elliptic and parabolic operators with unbounded coefficients in unbounded domains;
Reaction-diffusion systems and Free boundary problems with particular attention to stability and bifurcation problems.

ORGANIZING ACTIVITIES
I have been one of the organizers of the 8th edition of the "Internet Seminar", a course addressed to PhD- and post-doc students coming from several (mainly european) countries. Aim of the course was to let the students be acquainted with the theory of analytical semigroups. The course was completed by a workshop at Casalmaggiore (Italy) where participants illustrated the arguments they studied.
I have been co-organizer of the 20th edition of the "Internet Seminar" on Linear Parabolic Equations.
I have organized 3 international conferences (2014, 2015, 2017)

FELLOWSHIP POSITIONS

I received a one month professor fellowship from the University of Bordeaux 1 one in the academic year 2007-2008 and the other one in the academic year 2008-2009.

PERIODS SPENT AT FOREIGN INSTITUTION

In the ambit of the European project TMR Fronts-Singularities (RTN contract: HPRN-CT-2002-00274 I got a one month contract for researches at the University of Bordeaux 1 (France) in the period January 15-February 14 2006.

OTHER SCIENTIFIC INFORMATION

Together with A. Lunardi I have been the supervisor the researches of Dr. Luciana Angiuli who got a two years post-doc grant on Kolmogorov equations in Parma.
I am a reviewer of the American Mathematical Society.
