TECHNICAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCES
Use of statistical software (SAS, SPSS) and nutritional software (NDS, Plurimix), use of laboratory instruments connected with the chemical-nutritional analysis of the fibrous components of food.
Execution of representative samples of fodder and food for animals in general.
Collection of biological samples from animals or products of animal origin.

ACTIVITY 'DIDACTICS PERFORMED
In spring 2003: participation as "Tutor" in the International Residential Course in "Management of agro-zoo-techno industries", a course held entirely in English during March, April and May 2003.
Various teaching activities follow:
- Seminars "Technology and hygiene of breeding and slaughtering of pigs", "Technology and hygiene of cattle breeding and milking", in the context of the II level Master Course "Technologies for food safety and quality" in the a. 2003-2004.
- Conducting of didactic-practical activities to replace the teacher in the academic years 2003/2004 and 2004/2005 of the "Single Cycle Degree Course in Veterinary Medicine" and of the "Degree Course in Animal Production and Food Safety" .
He is the owner of the course chosen by the student "Plant Biology and Agricultural Biomass" in the academic years 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 as well as the module of the animal husbandry training from the 2007-2008 academic year and the Botany module starting from academic year 2011-2012.
From the academic year 2012-2013 he is the owner of the course held in English "Botany", within the Degree Course in Veterinary Medicine (LM 42 Degree Class).
From the academic year 2016-2017 he is the owner of the "Special zootechnics" course within the Degree Course in Zootechnical Sciences and Animal Production Technologies (LM 38 Degree Class).

AWARDS AND RECOGNITIONS FOR SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITY
June 2008: achievement and awarding of the Italian Milk Technicians Association (AITeL) Award "For the originality and scientific validity of the research", concerning the research entitled "The physical structure of the ration mainly influences the quantity of milk produced" , conferred on the occasion of the First Congress of Dairy Caseario: "Scientific acquisitions and enhancement of milk and derivatives - genetic, environmental and technological aspects", held in Bologna on 12 June 2008.

September 2012: achievement and attribution of the Italian Milk Technicians Association (AITeL) Award "For the originality and scientific validity of the research", concerning the research entitled "Cyclic fatty acids in dairy products as molecular quality markers and typicality ", conferred on the occasion of the 3rd Lattiero Caseario Congress:" Milk and derivatives: research and innovation ", held in Milan on 28 September 2012.

    Le vacche manifestano il loro stato di benessere attraverso diversi indicatori che esprimono il corretto svolgimento delle loro funzioni organiche, influenzate dell’ambiente di allevamento, dalle caratteristiche della dieta e dall’oculatezza del management di mandria. A noi spetta saper leggere questi «segni» che sono sia di tipo sanitario sia di tipo produttivo e modificare opportunamente ambiente, dieta e management per garantire il massimo benessere e la massima efficienza produttiva.
