Academic Career
* 18 April 1994: Degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures from the Faculty of Humanities of Roma Tre University, grade 110/110 cum laude, with recommendation for publication.
* 19 May 1999: PhD in Romance and Italian Philology at the Department of Romance Studies, Faculty of Humanities, “La Sapienza” University of Rome.
* January 2000: Winner of the comparative selection procedure for one position as Researcher in Portuguese Language and Literature at the Faculty of Humanities, University of Parma. Appointed, by Rectoral Decree no. 1582 of 28 September 2000, University Researcher in the Scientific-Disciplinary Sector L17D “Portuguese and Brazilian Language and Literature” (later changed to L-LIN/08 “Portuguese and Brazilian Literature”) at the Faculty of Humanities, University of Parma, effective from 1 November 2000.

Research
* 2026: Organiser, together with Andrea Ragusa and Carlotta Defenu, of the international conference “Unveiling The Duke of Parma”, held on 23–24 February in the Aula dei Filosofi at the University of Parma.
* 2025: Scientific supervisor of the research project entitled “The Unveiling of Fernando Pessoa’s Literary Legacy: The Duke of Parma”, acronym THEDUKE, funded under the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships 2024 call, Topic: HORIZON-MSCA-2024-PF-01-01, within the Horizon Europe programme; beneficiary researcher Dr Carlotta Defenu. The project involves the study of authorial variants traceable in the creative process of the tragedy.
* 2025: Organiser, together with Andrea Ragusa, of the study day “Olhares | Sguardi. Dialoghi sulle letterature in lingua portoghese”, held on 24 March at the University of Parma.
* 2024: Organiser, together with Andrea Ragusa, of the conference “Reflexos. La rivoluzione portoghese vista dagli altri (1974-2024)”, held at the Carlo Mattioli Auditorium, Palazzo del Governatore, Parma, on 11 April 2024.
* 2024–2026: Principal Investigator of the research project “Fernando Pessoa’s Duke of Parma: an unpublished Shakespearean tragedy”, funded by the University of Parma under the 2023 University Research Call, Action A, involving researchers and fellows from the Universities of Parma, Sapienza University of Rome, Lisbon (FLUL), and Bogotá (Universidad de los Andes). The main objectives of the project are: to study and transcribe the manuscripts making up the dossier of Fernando Pessoa’s unpublished tragedy The Duke of Parma, which has not yet received adequate attention from scholars and philologists; to create a digital archive of the corpus of the tragedy; to plan a critical and genetic edition of the play; and to organise an international conference in February 2026, during which the project results will be presented and discussed with other members of the international scholarly community.
