Personale docente

Alberto Salarelli (Parma, 1967) is associate professor at Dipartimento di Discipline Umanistiche, Sociali e delle Imprese Culturali (DUSIC) at University of Parma. He teaches Digital documentation and Library Science at Corso di laurea in Beni Artistici, Teatrali, Cinematografici e dei Nuovi Media. He graduated from University of Parma in Literature and in Preservation of Cultural Heritage. He conducted research at the Department of Physics "A. Volta ", University of Pavia and CERN (Organization Européenne pour la Recherche Nucléaire - Genève, CH). Author of several monographs and over seventy published papers on Italian and international journals, in addition to teaching at the University of Parma, Alberto Salarelli is regularly invited to give refresher courses and seminars for librarians and documentalists in other universities, training institutions and local governments.

His main areas of research are: - problems of documentation in digital form and the relationships between library science, society and new technologies. Main publications: La biblioteca digitale (con A. M. Tammaro, 2006), Bit-à-brac. Informazione e biblioteche nell'era digitale (2004), Introduzione alla scienza dell'informazione (2012). - LIS theory: Biblioteca e identità (2008).

Alberto Salarelli is member of the editorial board for the following journals: "AIB Studi", "Bibliothecae.it", "Culture del testo e del documento", "JLIS.it - Italian Journal of Library and Information Science", "Biblioteche oggi Trends". He is Editor-in-Chief of the journal "Ricerche di S/Confine".
