Research activity

Research activity has mainly focused on veterinary public health and inspection of foods of animal origin, with particular emphasis on:

  • monitoring and dissemination of antibiotic-resistant bacteria in livestock production chains;

  • microbiological risk assessment along the food chain;

  • epidemiological surveillance within a One Health framework;

  • zoonotic parasitic diseases.

Teaching support activities

Since the academic year 2019, collaboration in teaching, orientation activities and practical training for students of the course Food Technology and Hygienic-Sanitary Control of Foods (Module 2) in the third year of the single-cycle Master’s Degree in Veterinary Medicine, and of the course Inspection of Foods of Animal Origin in the fourth year of the same degree programme.

Since the academic year 2021, collaboration in internship activities within the Scientific Disciplinary Sector MVET-02B (Inspection of Foods of Animal Origin), carried out during the second semester of the fifth year of the single-cycle Master’s Degree in Veterinary Medicine.
