She graduated first in Modern Languages and then in Humanities at the University of Parma.
She attained her P.h.D. in slavic compared literatures (VIII cycle) at the Universiy of Milan.
Winner of two-year Scholarship concerning “South Slaves and South of Italy: cultural and historical relations” at the Department of Linguistic and Text Analysis of the University of Bari.
Assistant Professor of slavic languages at University of Bari, where she taught slavic philology, russian language and literature, serbocroatian language and literature.
She attended one year course of linguistic studies at the Faculty of Philology at the University of Belgrade and the Academy of the Sciences as well, for research’s purposes; she took part in several research stages in Moscow and St Petersburg.
She’s been working and teaching at the University of Parma (Department of Linguistic and Foreign Literatures) since 2004-2005.
Her resarching activity focuses on different aspects: the Eighteenth century in Serbia and Russia: the reception of different ‘low genres’ among the South Slaves and East Slaves; relations and connections between Italy and Dalmatia, Balcans and Mediterranean; serbian Modernism and its contacts with Russia and Italy; connections between Slaves and the Duchy of Parma.
