Graduated in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Parma in 1997. Title of the thesis: 'Application of somatosensory-evoked potentials to the diagnosis of canine CNS disorders'
In the period 1998-2000 Ezio works as a practitioner in a private clinic for small animals
From 2000 to 2004 received a research fellowship on the topic: “Somatosensory (SEP), pain (PEP) and motor (MEP) evoked potentials and their application to the diagnosis of neurologic disorders”.
He is Assistant professor of the Department of Veterinary Science of the University of Parma since 2005.
He is a Diplomate of the College of Veterinary Neurology (ECVN) - EBVS® European Specialist in Veterinary Neurology since October 2015.
Since May 2019, he has held the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Medical and Veterinary Sciences at the University of Parma, scientific disciplinary sector: MVET-04/B Clinica medica veterinaria.
He has been speaker on topics of veterinary neurology at national and international congresses and courses. He is author of several articles on veterinary neurology and internal medicine published on national and international scientific journals.
In addition to his research, teaching and outreach activities, Ezio Bianchi provides clinical care within the Neurology and Neurosurgery Service of the University Veterinary Teaching Hospital (OVUD) of the Department of Veterinary Science of the University of Parma. He also serves as deputy medical director of the OVUD.
