-Doctor Tiziano Tecchio was born in Oppeano (province of Verona) on October 4th, 1952.
-He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Parma in 1977, and specialised in General Surgery at the same university in 1982.
- He went on to specialise in Vascular Surgery in 1987 at the University of Milan.
- In 1986 he gained eligibility to practise as head physician in General Surgery.
-From July 20th, 1977 to 31st July 1980 he attended the Institute of General Clinical Surgery as a volunteer assistant, going on to become tenured research fellow at the University of Parma’s Faculty of Medicine and Surgery in the MED-22 scientific subject area.
-Since May 1st, 1991 he has been jointly responsible assistant to the head physician of the Institute of General, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery, and was subsequently appointed as Advanced Specialist at the Vascular Surgery Complex Operational Unit.
- Since the 1990/1991 academic year he has taught at a number of Schools of Specialisation of the University of Parma’s Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, and for several years he has been the official teacher of Vascular Surgery as a part of the two-year specialisation degree course in Medicine and Surgery and the degree course in Nursing Sciences.
-On several occasions he has been coordinator for scientific research funds from the Ministry of Education.
-Since 2009,he has been a member of the ARTreat Communitary Research Project Group (www.ARTreat.com).
-His scientific interest and research in the field of Vascular Surgery focus on new endovascular techniques with regard to both aneurysmatic abdominal aortic disease. In recent years he has also dedicated himself to the minimally invasive surgical approach, as shown by his scientific publications and participation in national and international conferences with personal contributions.
-Over the years he has achieved total autonomy in the operating theatre, as documented by a personal case history of over 3000 operations including advanced and extremely advanced surgical techniques in the area of vascular surgery:aneurysms, steno-obstructive carotid conditions and the peripheral arterial area.
-His scientific activity is certified by 180 scientific contributions,published on specific National and International vascular pathology Magazines.

The minimally invasive surgical approach in the “open” treatment of aneurysmatic aortic and carotid stenosis.
Endovascular treatment of aneurysms of the thoracic and abdominal aorta.
Hybrid treatment of peripheral arteriopathies.
