- Degree in Literature at the University of Parma on April 5, 2000 with a thesis in Medieval Latin Literature entitled The Africa of Petrarch: Criticism in the '900. Vote: 110/110 with honors (Supervisor Prof. M. Bonvicini).
- PhD in Latin Philology, 16th cycle, at the University of Parma. Admitted to the final exam to obtain the title with the thesis entitled Francesco Petrarca, Africa, book V: translation and essay of commentary, discussed with positive result on 6 April 2005 (tutor Prof. Giuseppe Gilberto Biondi).
- Research grant in the Scientific-Disciplinary Sector L-FIL-LET / 04 at the Department of Classical and Medieval Philology of the University of Parma with effect from 1.05.2005 to 31.07.2006. Research topic: Studies of poetic language between language of use and sublime.

Stefania Voce's research addresses medieval and humanistic Latin philology, from late antiquity to the Renaissance, with particular attention to the imitatio of classical models, the transmission of texts, and their afterlife. Her main lines of research are the following.

Petrarch's Latin works and humanist epic. Petrarch's Latin production, and in particular the Africa, examined in relation to its Virgilian and Lucanian models and to the rest of the Latin corpus.

Medieval drama. Liturgical drama, including Hildegard's Ordo virtutum, and the twelfth-century elegiac comedy, with the Loire circle (Vitalis of Blois, William of Blois, Matthew of Vendôme), in its relation to the Terentian legacy.

Medieval Latin lyric. Epigrammatic, goliardic, and funerary poetry, including a critical edition of Marbod of Rennes now in progress and the study of the tradition of the epitaph and the funerary elegy from the twelfth to the sixteenth century.

Fifteenth-century Latin poetry. Cristoforo Landino, with the elegies of the Xandra and his Virgilian exegesis, and Giovanni Pontano, with his lyric, elegiac, and funerary poetry in the circle of the Neapolitan Academy.

Medieval medical-botanical and herbal literature. Walahfrid Strabo's Hortulus and Hildegard of Bingen's Physica, considered both for their phytotherapeutic content and for their reception of ancient botany.
