- Biomechanics and performance of horses studied by means of innovative technologies (SIMI, GPS).
- Horse behaviour: training methods and prevention of behavioural pathologies
- Management and growth patterns of foals destined to racing and riding
- Genetic characterization of equine breeding stock in collaboration with Perugia University, Dep. of Pathology, Diagnostic and Veterinary Clinic
- Production, composition and employment of milk from non-conventional species, in particular of mare’s milk, in collaboration with INRA, Department of Animal Science, Research Center of Clermont-Ferrand/Theix, Francia.

Co-author of about one hundred publications: national and international journals, proceedings of international meetings, chapters of books.
