He obtained the Laurea in Chimica in 1990, researching on the chemistry of cyanometalates. In '91 and '93 he did research under the supervision of Dr. Pierre Braunstein, member of the French Academy of Sciences, in his Laboratoire de Chimie de Coordination, Université de Strasbourg, France. In 1995 he obtained the Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences defending a thesis on the chemistry and properties of xerogel materials. Starting in december 1994 he worked as a researcher in the Dipartimento di Chimica Generale ed Inorganica, Chimica Analitica, Chimica Fisica, Università di Parma. Since October 2001 he is associate professor of General and Inorganic Chemistry in the same department, now called Dipartimento di Chimica. He is author of more than 50 papers published on international journals, two book-chapters and three national and one international patents. His research work regards coordination chemistry, organometallic compounds hybrid inorganic-organic materials and oxides obtained via sol-gel methods and more recently in: - the chemistry of a novel class of zwitterionic metalates, and the use of some of them as molecular thermometers. - the study, for applicative and technological purposes, of hybrid polymers for the stabilization of metal nanoparticles. Curriculum Vitae Daniele Alessandro Cauzzi was born in 1966. He obtained the Laurea in Chimica in 1990, researching on the chemistry of cyanometalates.
