Curriculum Vitae
Born 1966 in Alessandria.
Degree in Mathematics in 1989 at the University of Turin, then from 1989 to 1993 doctoral student at the SISSA in Trieste, where she got her Ph. D. in Mathematics in 1993.
From 1993 to 1998 junior lecturer in Mathematical Analysis at the School of Engineering of the University of Parma, then Associate Professor since 1998.
She currently lectures at the degree courses of Management Engineering and Architecture.
She is part of the Department of Mathematics, Phisics and Computer Science.
For several years her research focused on the Calculus of Variations, studying in particular functions of Bounded Variation, existence problems, image reconstruction and problems in fracture mechanics.
Afterwards she conducted various researches of medical interest in partnership with the Allergological Department of the children section of the Parma Hospital and with several hospitals in the region Emilia Romagna, in charge of data management and mathematical-informatic-statistical treatment of data. In particular these researches addressed children allergies, diabetes and respiratory diseases.
Currently she resumed her activity in the field of Calculus of Variations, studying in particular the regularity of local minimizers of integral fuctionals.
