In 2014, she graduated in Architecture from the University of Parma with a final grade of 110 cum laude/110. In 2018, she obtained with honors a PhD in Civil Engineering and Architecture (curriculum in Geomatics) from the same university.
After completing her PhD, she worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Politecnico di Milano (Department of Architecture, Built Environment and Construction Engineering – ABC), where she carried out research within the SIR project “Building Information Modelling for the planned conservation of Cultural Heritage: also a geomatics issue.” She also worked as a research fellow at the University of Parma (Department of Engineering and Architecture – DIA), focusing on interoperability between Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Building Information Modelling (BIM).

She was a Visiting Research Associate at the School of Engineering, University of Newcastle (Australia), where she contributed to the development of innovative and efficient photogrammetric methodologies for data acquisition and processing aimed at geotechnical risk monitoring and assessment.

From 2019 to 2024, she held a fixed-term researcher position (RTD-A), and she is currently a Tenure-Track Researcher (RTT) at the Department of Engineering and Architecture, University of Parma, within the Scientific Disciplinary Sector CEAR-04/A (Geomatics).

She is a member of CICCREI – the Interdepartmental Research Center for Construction, Conservation, and Regeneration of Buildings and Infrastructures – and of MAD-lab (Laboratory for Monitoring and Diagnostic Analysis of Historic Buildings), both at the University of Parma.

Her research activities mainly concern Historic Building Information Modelling (HBIM), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), database design for BIM and GIS applications, and the analysis and georeferencing of historical cartography. She is also involved in advanced surveying techniques, particularly laser scanning and photogrammetry, with applications in the environmental, architectural, archaeological, and cultural heritage fields.

To be arranged by appointment via email.
