Presentazione
Dr. Mahtab Kiani is an MSCA Postdoctoral Fellow whose research focuses on immersive technologies, gender-inclusive human-computer interaction (HCI), feminist theories of technology, and ethnographic research methods. Her current project explores how Muslim immigrant and refugee women in Italy experience virtual reality (VR) and how they negotiate and express their identities within these digital environments in relation to culture, religion, and gender.
Integrating cyberfeminist and social psychology approaches, her research examines the potential of virtual reality to increase social inclusion and reduce the risk of marginalization. The findings will contribute to the design of more inclusive and welcoming virtual spaces and provide evidence to inform European Union policies on digital inclusion.
