Born in San Severo (FG) in 1983, she obtained a Master’s Degree (Laurea Specialistica) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Parma in 2007. At the same university, she earned a PhD in Industrial Engineering in 2012.
In 2020, she obtained the Italian National Scientific Qualification (Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale) for Associate Professor (second level) in Thermal Physics (Sector 09/C2).
She is currently a Tenure-Track Fixed-Term Researcher (RTT) in the sector IIND-07 – SSD IIND-07/A at the Department of Engineering and Architecture of the University of Parma.
Her research activity is mainly focused on the analysis of passive techniques for enhancing convective heat transfer, using both numerical and experimental methodologies. In particular, through a numerical approach, she has investigated the effects of so-called “scale effects” on the convective heat transfer coefficient, as well as the heat transfer phenomena characterizing electro-osmotic flows in miniaturized ducts.
At the same time, by applying both numerical and experimental methods, she has analyzed the effects of other passive techniques, such as wall corrugation and duct curvature, aimed at optimizing heat exchangers.
Her scientific production, which began at the international level in 2012 and has continued consistently to the present day, is published in leading scientific journals in the field of Thermal Physics.
