Alice Rampolla is a PhD candidate and a researcher for the European project INTERFACED (Horizon Europe), which constitutes the core of her current scientific activity. Within this international research framework, she focuses on mapping the interfaces between citizens and institutions in the post-pandemic context.
She holds an MA in Gender Studies and a BA in Economics from the Sapienza University of Rome.
Her research is situated within the sociology of communication and politics, with a primary focus on self-representation processes. Her work examines mainstream media representations and the media practices of social movements, exploring how activism employs technopolitics and digital coordination to construct autonomous public identities.
Beyond her research on social movements and technopolitics, she is deeply involved in animal studies, conducting fieldwork as a multispecies ethnographer. In this field, she has one scientific publication and has presented at two international conferences, where she explores the interactions between human society and non-human alterity.
