Lines of research
My research activities are centered on the fabrication, characterization and understanding of fundamental processes in organic and hybrid photovoltaic, photo-detecting and light emitting devices. Research activities are unfolding around interfaces between organic semiconductors, as well as organic/inorganic, involved in the functionality of electronic devices.
My work on non-radiative losses in organic solar cells had a high impact in the community toward the development of better performing organic photovoltaic devices.
I registered two patents related to narrowband organic cavity photodetectors, from whom a spin-off was created at TU Dresden, named Senorics, that is now incorporated in Zeiss Spectroscopy.
