About

Beatrice De Francesco holds a PhD in Contemporary Art History (37th cycle) and is an Adjunct Lecturer for the course Immagine del cibo nella cultura contemporanea at the University of Parma.

She currently collaborates with a private artist archive, is a Research Fellow at FAF - Photography Art Feminisms Research Centre at the University of Bologna, and serves on the Scientific Secretariat of EXHIBIT - Research Centre for the History of Exhibitions.

Curriculum Vitae

Beatrice De Francesco holds a PhD in Contemporary Art History (37th cycle) and is an Adjunct Lecturer for the course Immagine del cibo nella cultura contemporane at the University of Parma.
From September 2025 to June 2026, she was a Research Fellow on the Dicolab - Cultura al digitale project, a collaboration between the University of Parma and the Soprintendenza Archeologia, Belle Arti e Paesaggio (ABAP) for the provinces of Parma and Piacenza, focused on the research, preservation, and enhancement of the photographic heritage of the "Fondo Lastre" collection. At the same institution, she also worked on the CHANGES PhySol-FHC (Phygital Solutions for Fragile and Hidden Collections) project, dedicated to the cataloguing and digitisation of the collections of CSAC - Study Centre and Communication Archive.
In January 2026, she completed a Second-Level Master's Degree in Digital Humanities at the University of Milan. As part of the programme, she developed a project on the geolocation of photographic materials collected within the framework of the PRIN project Italian Feminist Photography: Identity Politics and Gender Strategies, with which she has collaborated since 2022.
