Degree in Lettere Classiche at the University of Bologna (07/11/1975) magna cum laude and publication of the thesis on the first satire of Horace. Certificate of German language competence(Mittelstufe II) at the Goethe Institut of Blaubeuren-Germany - july 1978. Master in Classical Philology at the University of Bologna (26/11/1980.) Assistant Professor of Latin Literature from 16/03/1976 to 21/08/1976 and from 30/11/1976 to 26/04/1977. Searcher of the Italian National Council of Research at the Institute for Classical Philology of the University of Bologna from 01/10/1977 to 19/10/1981. Searcher at the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy- University of Bologna Department of Classic and Medieval Philology from 20/10/1981 to 31/10/1992. Associate Professor for Latin Literature and Philology at the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy- University of Parma Department of Classic and Medieval Philology, later Department ALEF now DUSIC from 01/11/92 to date. National Scientific Qualification as Full Professor in december 2013.Teaching activity: Classroom exercises as assistant professor and researcher at Faculty of Letters and Philosophy- University of Bologna. Courses of Latin Philology and Latin Literature as associate professor at the University of Parma. Member of the teaching staff of Phil. D. in Latin and Greek Philology of the Department of Classic and Medieval Philology of the University of Parma, with also the charge of secretary from 2004 to 2014. Now member of the teaching staff of PhD in Philological-Literary, Historical-Philosophical and Artistic Studies. Research topics:Latin poetry of late republic and early imperial age: Catull, Vergil ,Horace, Tibull, (publishing of a commentary on Horace\\'s first satire, an essay on the structure of Horace\\'s poetry-book and numerous articles). Archaic Latin theatre, especially Plautus\\'s and Terence\\'s comedy (essays on the development of dialogue, on diminutives, on metrical and textual problems),also in relationship with elegy. Fabula togata, with special focus on its linguistic and stylistic features. Latin prose, especially Seneca and Gellius.
