Personale docente

Born in Mirandola (MO) in 1967, he graduated with honours in Political Sciences from the Catholic University of Milan in 1992. In 2005 he obtained his PhD in History of Trade Union Movement at the University of Teramo. The thesis won the «Achille Taverna» prize. Research fellow first at the University of Bologna (2007-2009), then at the University of Parma (2014-2018), in 2019 he became university reseacher and in 2022 he became associate professor in Contemporary history. Since 2005 he is director of the Institute for the history of Catholic Action and of the Catholic movement in Italy Paolo VI (Rome), and he is also in the scientific committee of the Don Primo Mazzolari Foundation (Bozzolo, Mantova) and of the scientific committee of the Edizione nazionale delle opere di Aldo Moro, established by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Cultural Activities and Tourism. He edited, among other volumes, L’Azione cattolica nel mondo. Problemi e linee di sviluppo dalle origini al Concilio Vaticano II, Roma, Ave, 2019, and, with S. Ferrantin, L’Azione cattolica italiana nella storia del Paese e della Chiesa (1868-2018), Roma, Ave, 2021. He collaborates in the Dizionario biografico degli italiani.
