Gian Luca Podestà

Degree in Modern History, University of Genoa; PhD in Economic and Social History, Bocconi University of Milan; Master’s Degree in Management at SDA Bocconi School of Management. Full professor of Economic History at Parma University and adjunct professor in the Department of Social and Political Sciences at Bocconi University in Milan and at the Department of Economics of Genoa University.

He teaches Global History and Global Finance and Geopolitics.

His Research Areas are: Public Finance in the Modern Era; Economics, Employment, Politics and Society in the Italian Colonies in Africa and in the Aegean Sea in the XIX and XX Centuries; the Italian Iron and Steel Industry after the War of Ethiopia; the Italian Public Industry during the Second World War; the Population of Italian Empire; Italian Cultural Imperialism in Africa and in the Balkans; Fascist Racism in the Italian Empire.
