Guido D'Amico is Associate Professor of Theoretical Physics at the Department of Mathematical, Physical and Computer Sciences of the University of Parma.
He graduated with honors in Theoretical Physics from the University of Pisa and obtained the Diploma di Licenza from the Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa. He received his PhD in Astroparticle Physics from SISSA in Trieste in 2010. He then held postdoctoral positions at New York University, CERN, and Stanford University. Since 2019 he has been a faculty member at the University of Parma, where he is currently Associate Professor.
He is the author of over 70 publications in leading international journals, including Physical Review Letters, Journal of High Energy Physics, Journal of Cosmology and Astroparticle Physics, and Physical Review D. He was awarded the COFUND Fellowship at CERN, and the IOP Top Cited Paper Award North America in 2023 for his paper "The Cosmological Analysis of the SDSS/BOSS data from the Effective Field Theory of Large-Scale Structure". He regularly presents his research at international meetings and conferences. He serves as a reviewer for several European and non-European funding agencies, and as a referee for numerous international journals including Physical Review Letters, Physical Review D, and Journal of High Energy Physics.
His research interests lie in theoretical cosmology and high-energy physics, with a particular focus on theories of gravity, effective field theories, large-scale structure of the universe, inflation, dark energy, and dark matter.
