Giovanni Tedeschi holds a degree in Civil Engineering and a PhD in Civil Engineering and Architecture (curriculum Architecture and City, SSD ICAR/20, University of Parma, XXXV cycle). His research focuses on urban sustainability, climate planning and active mobility, with particular attention to the integration between urban plans and climate action plans in medium-sized cities, walkability, bikeability and urban resilience.
He has conducted research within the PNRR project on the Sustainable Mobility Center (CNMS), under the supervision of Prof. Barbara Caselli. He currently teaches the course "Projects for the Sustainable City" (3 ECTS), within the Final Synthesis Laboratory in Architectural Design for Sustainable Urban Regeneration, at the Bachelor's Degree Programme in Architecture Regeneration Sustainability, Department of Engineering and Architecture.
He works as a freelance engineer and is active in training on energy and environmental sustainability. He is President of the Centre for Environmental Ethics (CEA) in Parma.
