Lines of research

Research focuses on urban planning for sustainability and climate resilience in medium-sized cities, particularly on the integration between urban plans and climate action plans (SECAP). A second line of research concerns active mobility — walkability and bikeability — through multi-scale analytical methodologies and GIS-based tools for assessing urban and territorial accessibility. Further research interests include soil de-sealing, urban green infrastructure as a climate adaptation strategy, and nature-based urban regeneration.
