* I have been involved in PRIN projects, Integrate Actions Italy-Spain, and Galileo projects of French-Italian University.

Research Interests:

My research focuses on kinetic theory and on the study of reaction-diffusion systems, expecially for situations with non-conservative phenomena. These include:

- Kinetic theory for chemically reacting mixtures;

- Kinetic theory for granular media;

- Kinetic theory for socio-economic sciences;

- Derivation of reaction-diffusion systems from kinetic equations, and investigation of stability properties of the solutions.

Research areas

My research activity is essentially devoted to kinetic theory, not only for rarefied gases, but also for problems with non-conservative phenomena as chemically reacting mixtures, polyatomic particles, granular media, socio-economic sciences.
