    mating system and environmental heterogeneity in determining the
    genetic structure in plant populations.

Public Engagement Initiatives

  • Studiare l'effetto dei cambiamenti climatici sui nostri boschi: come posso contribuire anch'io?

    La presentazione ha illustrato alcuni effetti dei cambiamenti climatici sulla struttura e sul funzionamento del bosco e si è concentrata poi sugli effetti della fenologia fogliare (apertura e senescenza delle foglie) e della sua importanza per l’adattamento al clima che cambia. Abbiamo parlato delle cose che si sanno e di quelle che non si sanno sulla relazione fra fenologia e accrescimento, sul ciclo del carbonio e sostenibilità del bosco. Abbiamo presentato il progetto di Migrazione Assistita in collaborazione con il Parco nazionale dell’Appennino Tosco-Emiliano e del possibile coinvolgimento dei cittadini (studenti, docenti e appassionati) nella preziosa attività di raccolta dati. Abbiamo cercato di spiegare come sia possibile aiutare concretamente i ricercatori a rispondere ad alcune importanti delle domande sulla gestione dei boschi nei nostri territori nel difficile contesto climatico attuale.
