2007 Invited by Prof. G. Rothblat at J. Stokes Jr. Research Institute at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia to give scientific seminar on "Lipoprotein acceptors and cellular cholesterol efflux: insights from genetic HDL disorders".

Research Interest
Physiology and pharmacology of atherosclerosis and cholesterol metabolism with particularly interest to cellular cholesterol efflux processes. Prof. Favari has an experience in evaluating cholesterol metabolic processes at cellular level and cholesterol efflux capacity. She provided different contributions to the elucidation of the process of reverse cholesterol transport. The research activity of Prof. Favari has been carried out in collaboration with Italian and foreign research groups (USA, Australia, Great Britain, Switzerland, Holland) and has led to several productions of scientific relevance, for a total of more than 50 scientific papers in international peer reviewed journals.

Teaching activity
Prof. Favari collaborated form 2003 for the Toxicology course for the degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology. 2004-2005 she was in charge of the Toxicology course for the degree in "Health Products". She was in charge of the Toxicology course for the degree in Herbal Sciences and Health Products for the academic years 2005-2006; 2006-2007; 2007-2008; 2008-2009; 2009-2010; 2011-2012. She was in charge of the course of Anticancer chemotherapy and new therapies for the School of Specialization in Hospital Pharmacy for the academic years 2011-2012, 2012-2013 and 2013-2014. She was in charge of the "Pharmacovigilance" course for the degree in Pharmacy for the academic year 20012-2013 and 2013-2014.
Since 2014 he is the owner of the Toxicology course for the degree in Pharmacy at the Department of Food and Drug, University of Parma. She has been speaker of several experimental theses for the Degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology and “Biotecnologie per la salute”. Since 2007 she has been a member of the board of professors for the PhD course in PHARMACOLOGY AND EXPERIMENTAL TOXICOLOGY of the Faculty of Pharmacy and of the Department of Pharmacy of the University of Parma. From 2013 she is a member of the faculty board of the PhD in Drugs, Biomolecules and Health Products at the Department of Food and Drug, University of Parma.
