Dr. Maria Antonioni is a Medical Doctor specializing in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine and a Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapist. For more than thirty years, she has worked in the fields of addiction medicine, mental health, and community healthcare, combining clinical practice, research, teaching, and organizational innovation.

Former Director of the Complex Operational Unit of the Addiction Services (Ser.DP) and of the Addiction Program at the Local Health Authority of Parma (Azienda USL di Parma), she has designed and implemented integrated models of care and innovative treatment pathways, with a particular focus on adolescents, young adults, and individuals with highly complex clinical and social needs.

She teaches at both university and postgraduate levels in the areas of addiction medicine, cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy, and the education of healthcare and social care professionals. She is a frequent speaker at national scientific conferences and professional training courses and is the author of more than seventy scientific publications.

Alongside her scientific and clinical work, she has a deep commitment to culture, recognizing its value as a powerful means of personal growth, social inclusion, and health promotion. She actively fosters dialogue between science, the arts, and society by promoting cultural, educational, and training initiatives for the wider community.
