WORK EXPERIENCE

Associate Professor of Neurology, Case Manager Expert and Director of the Sleep Disorders Center Department of Neuroscience - University of Parma.

He conducts outpatient and laboratory investigations and coordinates the clinical management of patients with sleep disorders with other medical and surgical specialties (ENT, maxillofacial surgery, paediatrics, neuropsychiatry, pulmonology, cardiology, endocrinology).

Ph.D. in Neurological and Neurosensorial Disciplines (University of Ancona, Italy).
Diploma of Veille et Sommeil(University of Montpellier, France).
As a consultant, he participated to the implementation of the International Classification of Sleep Disorders (ICSD - 2) .
From 2012 to 2015 he was President of the Italian Association of Sleep Medicine (AIMS).
Co-Chair of the World Sleep Day Committee of the World Association of Sleep Medicine (WASM).
Assistant Treasurer of the WASM Executive Committee since 2013.
Founding editor of the WASM Newsletter SLEEP MEDICINE WORLDWIDE.
Member of the Editorial Board of the scientific journals SLEEP DISORDERS and SLEEP MEDICINE.
Co-founder of SONNOMED, the official journal of AIMS.

Over the years he has been invited in numerous locations in Europe, Japan and USA to chair workshops and present lectures.

He lectures for graduate Course of Neurology and lessons allotted as part of the degree course in Medicine and Surgery, where he holds dedicated courses on Sleep Medicine.

Since June 2010, he is Scientific Advisor for the Department of Neurological and Cardiovascular Sciences at the University of Cagliari.
