2000: visiting scientist at the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) Bethesda, Maryland USA. 2009: visiting faculty member at the Langone Medical Center (New York University), New York. 2011-2012: visiting scientist and faculty member at the Children Hospital e Brigham and Women Hospital (Harvard University), Boston, Massachusetts.
Author of 95 peer reviewed full length papers (IF > 300; Total Citation > 2700; hindex(scopus) = 29; hindex(web of science) = 27; hindex(google scholar) = 38) covering the following fields: human movement, sport sciences, anthropometry, platelet production and activation, hematopoietic progenitorsi, PKC epsilon pathways.
