Head of the Technology Transfer and Research Valorisation Service – Professional Staff
The Technology Transfer and Research Valorisation Service, within the Research Valorisation and Innovation Promotion Unit, is responsible for managing and supporting technology transfer activities in all their forms. Its functions include providing legal and administrative support for the drafting, negotiation and management of research collaboration, technology transfer and innovation agreements with private-sector organisations, public bodies and other institutions.The Service is also responsible for promoting, developing and managing activities relating to intellectual property, supporting the associated administrative processes, identifying opportunities for the valorisation of research outcomes, and enhancing the University's research excellence in collaboration with research groups, Academic Departments and Research Centres.
The Service's main responsibilities include:
- providing legal and administrative support for the drafting, negotiation and management of technology transfer agreements;
- promoting, coordinating and implementing strategies and initiatives for the valorisation and commercialisation of research results and intellectual property;
- supporting the protection, management and exploitation of intellectual property assets;
- fostering collaboration between the University, industry, public institutions and other stakeholders to facilitate knowledge and technology transfer.
