Ada Ricci, born in Parma on the 03/03/1962, graduated in Biological Sciences, is a Associate Professor until 14/04/2005, at the Department of Evolutive and Functional Biology at the University if Parma. She teaches "Plant Physiology" at Biological Sciences students at the Faculty of Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences.
Her scientific activity as reported by various pubblications in national and international journals, concerns:
- the study of adventitious root formation that is enhanced by some diphenylurea derivatives;
- the study of morphogenetic and/or rhizogenetic activity of neo-synthesized auxin-like compounds and of the stucture-activity relationship;
- the optimization of transient and/or stable transformation protocols in protoplasts and leaf and cotiledonary explants of dicots and monocots.
