Degree 15.7.72 in functional analysis, director S. Spagnolo. The fields of my scientific interests, which yielded 37 papers, are: general topology, parabolic equations, second order hyperbolic equations, first order abstract evolution equations of hyperbolic type, fourth order evolution equations, nonlinear modelling for the vibrations of strings and beams, omega-limits and attractors for abstract dynamical systems. I directed a CNR project called “L’equazione di Timoshenko per la trave”. On arguments strictly connected with my research interests, I directed several thesis.
I was invited speaker in 9 international congresses (year 2000 included) and for a series of 4 seminars at the Politecnico di Milano. Gast Professor for 12 months at the Institut für angewandte Math. in Bonn.
