Degree in Civil Engineering at University of Parma (December 1999) (points 110/110). Thesis in Geotechnical Engineering entitled: 'Analysis of shallow landslides in detrital deposits (in Italian).
Ph.D in Geotechnical Engineering at Polytechnic of Turin (April 2004), thesis entitled: 'Micromechanical modelling of slope movements (in English), under the supervision of Prof. G. Barla and Prof. L. Montrasio.
With the Research Group in Geotechnical Engineering of the University of Parma cooperated to the National Research Project funded by Italian Ministry MIUR (COFIN 2001) entitled: 'Living together with landslides: effects on structures and urban settlements. Strategies for risk reduction.
Since March 2005 until February 2006 received a grant by E.C. Funding and Emilia Romagna Region (Spinner Project).
2006-2013 research assistant at the University of Parma, Department of Civil, Environmental, Territory Engineering and Architecture.
2013-2016: Assistant Professor of Geotechnical Engineering at the University of Parma.
December 2016-now Associate Professor of Geotechnical Engineering at the University of Parma.
Author and co-author of 25 papers on international journals and of 40 papers on national and international conference proceedings.

University of Pavia (Mantova branch office), Faculty of Engineering, full course of Soil Mechanics (6 ECTS) since 2004 till 2013.
University of Parma:

He was master students supervisor for more than 50 degree thesis in Geothecnics.
