2 - Research activity
Research activity mainly focused on the following topics:
1) Relations between chemical structure and morphogenic activity of auxin- and cytokinin-like structures in in vitro culture of plant cells protoplasts and tissues.
2) Primary events occurring during somatic morphogenesis with particular regard to changes in protein/ genes expression in response to different hormonal induction and during the fulfilment of different morphogenetic outcomes. The analyses were also addressed to evaluate changes in the auxin and cytokinin content during in vitro somatic morphogenesis
3) Search of molecular markers useful for the identification of contaminant in commercial preparations of aromatic/medicinal plants.
4) Effect of heavy metals and stress tolerance mechanisms in algae and aquatic plants, with particular regards to interaction between sulfur assimilation pathway and chromium(VI) tolerance.
• Winner of the Global Subvention Spinner 2013 – Persone al Futuro “interventi per la qualificazione delle risorse umane nel settore della ricerca e dell’innovazione tecnologica”, with the project: “Hops – Hop Production Services”
