Born in Vicenza the 23/02/1965, he graduated in Medicine at the University of Padova in 1990 and in 1997 he obtained the Specialization in Maxillo-Facial Surgery at the University of Parma (Director: Prof. Enrico Sesenna).
During his post-doctoral training he attended the following specialized centres:
- Royal Melbourne Hospital (Melbourne – Australia), in 1992;
- Sloan Kattering Cancer Centre (New York – USA), from 26/10/1993 to 04/12/1993;
- Mount Sinai Otolaryngology Department (New York – USA), from 26/02/1996 to 15/03/1996;
- University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston – USA), from 17/10/1994 to 31/12/1994;
- Royal Marsden Hospital (London – UK).
From 1999 to 2002 he was Chief Assistant and from 2002 he is Associate Professor at the Operative Unit of Maxillo-Facial Surgery, Head and Neck Department, University-Hospital of Parma.
He actually teaches in the same University:
- Maxillo-Facial Surgery, School of Medicine;
- Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery, School of Specialization in Maxillo-Facial Surgery;
- Oral Surgery, School of Dental Medicine.
He was a member of the faculty in the Master in “Advanced implantology” (Director: Prof. G.M. Macaluso) and in the Course of “Oral pathology and principles of laser application in oral surgery” (Director: Prof. P. Vescovi). In 2006 he was director of the course “Free flaps in head and neck reconstructive surgery” organized at the Operative Unit of Maxillo-Facial Surgery, Head and Neck Department, University-Hospital of Parma.
He participated as speaker and moderator to several meetings, courses and national and international congresses.
He is author and co-author of more than 50 scientific publications mainly in the field of head and neck oncology and reconstructive surgery.



His main areas of interest and study are: head and neck cancer surgery, microvascular head and neck reconstruction, diagnosis and treatment of patients affected by facial paralysis, implantology and oral and pre-prosthetic surgery.
