Author of two monographs and of various articles in Italian, English and French on: protection of the environment, law of the sea, United Nations peace-keeping operations and human rights protection. Editor or co-editor of some volumes on the same topics.

2001-2004, Member of the IUCN (World Conservation Union) delegation at the meetings of the Standing Committee and the Ministerial Conferences of the Convention for the protection of the Alps;
2001-2002, Member of an Ad hoc Committee established by the Italian Ministry for the Foreign Affairs for the draft of a bill on the implementation of the Protocol to the Antarctic Treaty on the protection of the environment (Madrid, 4 ottobre 1991) in Italy;
2001-2002 Member of an Ad hoc Committee established by the Italian Ministry for the Foreign Affairs for the draft of a feasibility project on the establishment of an International Center for the prevention and management of environmental disputes.
