1985 - Degree cum laude in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Parma.
1992 - PhD in “Veterinary Anatomo-histopathological Sciences”.
1994 - Researcher in Veterinary Pathology at the Faculty of the Veterinary Medicine of the University of Parma.
1998 - Associate Professor in Veterinary Pathology at the Faculty of the Veterinary Medicine of the University of Parma.
2006 to present - Full Professor in Veterinary Pathology at the Department of Veterinary Sciences of University of Parma.

2)Studies regarding the evaluation of the immune response in viral infection and vaccine protocols;
3) Studies in vivo and in vitro on the biocompatibility of biomaterials applied in surgery;
