In 1985 stage on animal and comparative neuropathology at the Hiranatomisches Institut der Universität Bern, Switzerland.
In 1987 and 1998 Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology, New York State College of Veterinary Medicine, Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, USA.

Academic leadership position at the University of Parma
From 1996 to 2000 Delegate of the Rector for student mobility programs UE administrated by DG XII and DG XXII.
From 2003 to 2012 Coordinator of Erasmus student mobility at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
From March 2003 to October 2006 Chairman of the Board in Veterinary Medicine of Parma;
