Curriculum Vitae
Elena Carpanelli has been Associate Professor of International Law at the Department of Law, Political and International Studies at the University of Parma since March 1, 2024.
Previously, she held the position of fixed-term researcher pursuant to Art. 24, para. 3, letter b) (2021–2024) and letter a) (2019–2021) of Law 240/2010, as well as of research fellow at the Center for European and International Studies at the same University (2016–2019).
She obtained her PhD in International Law from the University of Milan-Bicocca in 2016 and an LL.M. from the University of Leiden (Netherlands) in 2011.
She has conducted research abroad at several universities, including Hiroshima University (2022), where she also served as Specially-appointed Assistant Professor.
She is the author of a monograph, co-editor of two anthologies, and numerous articles and chapters in scientific works. Her main areas of research include international human rights protection, international environmental law, international air law, an the law of outer space.
